"As a TCO for the City of Sugar Land, I am responsible for training new employees, assisting in creating and updating training curriculum and activities, as well as working hand in hand with the shift supervisor to lead the shift and acting as shift lead when the shift supervisor is not on duty. I love my job because every day brings an opportunity to help someone. No two days, two weeks, two calls are the same.

I have a 5 year-old male bull mastiff named Gus and a 1 year-old female Great Dane named Charlie. Animals have always been an important aspect of my life. They are the ultimate comforters and protectors, best friends and therapists, stress relievers, and clowns. Animals have a way of making you laugh on your bad days and making the good days even better, and that is really important this is in this line of work.

My husband and I adopted our first dog, Nala, from a shelter in Lake Charles when we were in college. We had her for 8 years before she passed away in 2017. She was the greatest dog. We had the opportunity to adopt her as a puppy and couldn’t pass her up. My husband brought her to Houston from Lake Charles on his motorcycle in a papoose. If I had the room and time, I would save them all.

I am also an artist and began doing forensic sketches for agencies in the area.  It is really amazing to put my love of art and of law enforcement together. I am from a law enforcement family.  My dad is a lieutenant for Sugar Land, my husband is a sergeant with Rosenberg, my father-in-law is a sergeant for Sugar Land, and my brother is an officer with Pearland."
