"My job is great because each day is something different. I see things every day the general public never gets to witness. Being part of a team to help bring an emergency situation back to normal is extremely satisfying.
We have three rescue dogs at home. Their names are Jax, Millie, and Dew. Dew is deaf so she’s our special needs girl. I love my dogs greeting me at the door when I come home from a shift, knowing that they are happy to see me. No matter what life has dealt, they are always there showing me love and companionship.
We chose to adopt because there are so many great adoptable dogs and cats in shelters that are craving a family. We knew we could offer that and we’re so glad we did. Rescuing was a great decision for our family.
Having a deaf dog makes for an interesting experience. Once, while painting the interior rooms of our house, she stepped into the paint bucket. Our first instinct was to call out her name to stop her as she peacefully walked out of the room with paint soaked paws. But of course that didn’t do a thing! We sure did have a mess to clean up that day!"
Our thanks and appreciation to Timothy for appearing in the 2018 Red White & Rescue Calendar and for serving our community!
