"What I love about my job is being able to help others in need regardless of the risk to myself. Knowing someone is still alive today or their house is still standing because of my team’s quick actions is pretty incredible. The comradery of being able to sit down around a table with my firefighter brothers and sisters and have a good time is very important to me. I also love teaching kids about fire safety and watching the smiles on their faces when they sit up in our fire trucks.
I have no pets right now but would like to adopt a cat really soon. I used to have three Labs and loved it when I would come home from work they were always so happy to see me. They loved to play and fetch things.
When I’m ready to bring a pet into my home, I will choose to adopt because I’ll know I will be rescuing an animal. And that’s a good feeling."
